Over the weekend, a Jeannette man allegedly assaulted two city police officers and a police dog as he was being taken into custody.
The Tribune-Review reports that 37-year-old Justin Turner was visited three times by police Sunday evening, and allegedly pushed a woman to the ground at a home on Good Street. When police were there, he allegedly shut the door on the neck of the k-9 officer and later on hit the k-9 officer in the ribs. Officers say that he resisted arrest the whole way and a taser had to be used on him.
Turner faces charges of aggravated assault, child endangerment, disarming a law enforcement officer and other offenses. His preliminary hearing is set for December 20th.
