A man from New Alexandria was sentenced yesterday to serve 11 and a half to 23 months in prison for a guilty plea that stemmed from a crash that killed a Blairsville woman.
Samuel Grace III pleaded guilty in October to vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and driving at an unsafe speed for the fatal car crash in October of 2016 that took the life of 71-year-old Harriet Malloy in a collision near Laughlin Farm Road. Malloy’s 9-month-old great granddaughter escaped injury despite being trapped in the car.
Grace will also serve two years probation as part of his sentence.
