2/12		Have a Heart Buffet Join us for the annual Have a Heart Buffet - Pasta Palooza and Chinese Auction! Valentine's Weekend YOU are cordially invited to help save a Homless Animal! On Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Ferrante's Lakeview in Greensburg. The donation price is $25 and includes an auction and many fun activities. Expect a visit from some of our animal friends. Call the shelter for reservations!	1pm - 4pm, at Ferrante's Lakeview
3/1		Coming Soon! Wine and Cheese Party - This annual event will be held at "Rizzo's" this year. Look for a spring event with lots of goodies!	TBA, at TBA

Pet of the Month

Meet Rocco. Rocco is the extreme example of a returned dog. Rocco was adopted as an adorable puppy. There were three of them. Unfortunately, Rocco was returned through no fault of his own. He has been with us over a year. His biggest problem is that he barks at strangers like most dogs do at their front door. It is only because he has been with us so long and he considers the shelter home. Rocco needs someone that will love and work with him.

Homeless animals and their care takers in Westmoreland County need your help. Animals are coming to our shelter in record numbers in need of medical attention and new homes. Westmoreland County residents are using our low cost services to keep their pets healthy. People groups have many advocates out there soliciting funds. All good groups. There are few groups soliciting for animals. Please remember helpless, rescued and homeless animals this new year.

Your financial support is always needed to help and care for Animals who are looking for a loving home. Animals are coming to shelters in record numbers. Financial support is needed for veterinary cost, animal care cost and housing.

Paws for a Cause This Season

Humane Society of Westmoreland County and homeless pets need your help. The Humane Society is accepting donations and also selling Entertainment and Enjoy Books.

You can make a monetary donation or donate a needed item. Items include:

Laundry detergent
Dish detergent
Paper towels
Bleach
Stainless steel bowls
Dog treats
Chew toys and rawhide chews
Cat treats
Litter
Litter pans
Towels, quilts, comforters, blankets

The Humane Society does not need food because many animals are on special diets. The Humane Society donates any pet food donations to the food bank for the less fortunate.

This year consider doing something extra for the homeless animals of the Humane Society of Westmoreland County. Monetary donations go to PO Box 1552, Greensburg, PA 15601. Drop off items at the shelter. Route 119N behind Lynch Field, Greensburg.
