Pet profile, another sweetheart

Posted 2/9/2010 11:15:00 AM
OK my last spotlighted Pet in the Profile, Beamer, from the Pet Adoption League was successfully adopted, yay! Now I have another. Libbie has a pretty sad story. Libbie is a lab mix that now only has three legs. She was found in someone's driveway, with a badly deformed front leg, that was an old injury that had never been repaired properly . A tough decision had to be made to amputate Libbie's leg. Libbie is probably about 4-5 years old, and remarkably, Libbie has a great disposition, and is very friendly. She has recovered tremendously well after the amputation. Libble is a little possessive of her treats around other dogs, so we do hope to find her a home where she can be the only canine family member. Please consider opening your home to Miss Libbie and making up for the abuse or neglect that she has been through. ...

Colts vs Saints

Posted 2/1/2010 10:59:00 AM
Well one thing is for sure, both teams that are in the Super Bowl deserve to be there. The teams had outstanding seasons and there is no reason to believe that this isn't going to be a good game. While Saints' fans are wearing dresses in honor of their beloved N.O. team making it to the Bowl, Colts fans are rockin' to an original song "Scream Ya Necks Off." Payton and Drew are sure to give crowds what that want and the Saints defense has their work cut out for them no doubt. Can't wait to see both teams take the field in Miami on Sunday. I really don't have a favorite, so without stress, I'll just enjoy the game!

Pet spotlight...for adoption

Posted 1/12/2010 12:02:00 PM
Shining the pet adoption spotlight on Beaner. He was found abandoned near the Pet Adoption League in Yukon. Someone apparently just threw him over the fence into the yard and left him up there. When volunteers found him up there he had no food or water and they do not know how long he was up there. But Beaner is looking good now. He is a neutered Lab/Spaniel or Lab/Springer mix, probably about 6 years old with up to date shots. He has a good temperament and will make a nice family pet. Can you give this loving dog a good home? Call the Pet Adoption League at 724-722-3670 and check out all the pets for adoption at thepetadoptionleague.com. All adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping
