Low-interest loans are being made available to those who were affected by flooding during the September 9th storms.
Governor Tom Wolf’s office announced in a news release that the US Small Business Association approved the disaster declaration for Westmoreland County for those storms. Homeowners, renters and businesses in Westmoreland, Indiana, Allegheny and other neighboring counties may be eligible for low-interest disaster loans of up to $200,000 for the repair or replacement of destroyed or damaged real estate and loans of up to $40,000 to repair or replace personal property.
Business and non-profits can borrow up to $2 million to restore damaged or destroyed buildings, inventory, equipment or other assets.
