An Indiana County man pleaded guilty on Friday in Westmoreland County Court to two counts of felony indecent assault involving children.
34-year-old Wolfgang Sommer entered the plea during a session of plea court, admitting to having repeated sexual contact with two girls from New Alexandria starting at the age of six and going on until they were thirteen years old between 2010 and 2017.
During his hearing, Sommer said he was pleading guilty to spare the girls from having to testify in court. He was immediately sentenced to 18 to 36 months in prison, two years of probation, and was forbidden to have contact with children and must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
