On the same day that she appealed a summary harassment conviction for physically confronting a union representative at the county courthouse, Patricia Fritz was fired from her position in the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s office.
The Tribune-Review reports that the termination came after a private law firm was hired by the county to investigate and make recommendations about allegations raised by the president of the union that represents deputy sheriffs. Earlier this month, she was found guilty of harassment for an incident in August where she allegedly pushed Corporal Steven Felder, a union representative during a grievance hearing involving another deputy.
Fritz is planning to appeal the conviction.
