One of the six people convicted of the torture-murder of Jennifer Daugherty back in February of 2010 testified yesterday in the re-sentencing hearing of Melvin Knight, who was convicted of that same crime.
The Tribune-Review reports that Amber Meidinger testified yesterday about some of the details of the torture that Daugherty went through before she was killed. She described how Knight and her met at a homeless shelter, and how they met all the others before they started to torture Daugherty.
When questioned by the defense, Meidinger said that she did not seek a deal with the prosecution to testify.
The re-sentencing hearing continues today.
