Two men from Scottdale pleaded guilty yesterday to charges related to their work in an illegal gambling operation.
The Tribune-Review reports that 55-year-old James Tartal pleaded guilty to misdemeanor conspiracy and operating illegal gambling devices and 52-year-old Edward DeLuca pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy as part of an investigation where they were part of a group operating illegal video slot machines in bars. Tartal was sentenced to two years of probation and agreed to forfeit over $400,000 seized when he was arrested and from his bank account.
DeLuca, who serviced the machines, was sentenced to three months of probation.
