A woman from Unity has been banned for life from Rivers Casino for leaving her 10-year-old daughter alone in a car in the casino’s parking garage for over six hours.
The Tribune-Review reports that 36-year-old Nicole Marie Inks left the child alone in the car in a parking garage around 8:40 PM on Sunday, and the child called 911 around 4:00 AM the next morning. Inks told State Troopers that she went to the casino to buy a gift card, but lost track of time. Officials found her gambling.
Inks also claimed that a friend was to pick up her daughter, but that friend left the casino without the child.
Inks also faces charges in an un-related case where she stole about $1,400 from a Salem Township Subway restaurant and used the money for gambling at the casino.
State Police are charging her with child endangerment and reckless endangerment.
