Two malls have decided that they will close Thanksgiving Day and reopen on Black Friday.
The Tribune-Review reports that both the Westmoreland Mall and Monroeville Mall will have all of their businesses inside close for Thanksgiving Day and they will open at 6 AM on the day after Thanksgiving, November 23rd.
In a statement, CBL Properties says this will help shoppers and employees celebrate the fullest with their families. Department stores, movie theaters, restaurants and any business that has an exterior entrance do have the option of opening on Thanksgiving day, but there will be no access to the interior of the malls.
