A Vandergrift woman admitted to police that she killed her cousin in a shooting last night at an apartment on Longfellow Street.
The Tribune-Review reports that Ashley Croft now faces a charge of criminal homicide for the shooting death of her cousin, 31-year-old John Smail of Greensburg. The shooting happened around 10:00 last night.
During the investigation, Croft told police without being asked that she shot Smail, telling police that she was high earlier that day and was “out of it.”
Croft is expected to be arraigned today in Greensburg.
