A man from New Alexandria pleaded guilty to causing the death of a Blairsville woman in a fatal crash two years ago.
The Tribune-Review reported that 22-year-old Samuel Grace entered guilty pleas to vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and driving at an unsafe speed for the fatal crash on October 17th of 2016 on Route 982 in Derry Township. Police say Grace crossed the center line near Laughlin Farm Road and hit a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Harriet Malloy, who died from injuries suffered in the crash. A 9-month-old great-granddaughter was secured in a child safety seat in the car and was not hurt.
Police said Grace was going 70 miles an hour in a 40 mile an hour zone. Grace will be sentenced in December.
