A member of Latrobe council has resigned his position, citing an upcoming move out of the city.
The Tribune-Review reports Jack Murtha submitted his resignation on Monday, and it was read into the record on Tuesday at a Latrobe council agenda meeting. Murtha served nearly nine years on council in two different stints.
Council will accept the resignation at their next meeting in November and they’ll have 45 days to fill the vacancy.
