Police are still looking for someone who may have seen a hit-and-run accident that happened 30 years ago in Loyalhanna Township.
The Tribune-Review reports that in July of 1988, 45-year-old Willie Frain of Graceton was found dead along Route 981 after a hit-and-run collision near Cemetery Road.
Police believe there was a woman involved in the death. Troopers at the time said a woman reported running over something on the road that authorities believe was Frain. Since then, police have been looking for that woman, without much success. She was driving a 1970’s model General Motors car at the time, and was wearing uniform-type clothing. At the time of the incident, she would have been in her 30s or 40s.
