The attorney for Westmoreland County Sheriff Jonathan Held wants to bar all but two witnesses the prosecution has ready to testify.
The Tribune-Review reports that attorney Ryan Tutera made the request. Tutera added that prosecutors have not followed a judge’s request to turn over the list of witnesses by a November 7th deadline.
Held is facing charges of conflict of interest and two counts of theft for allegedly asking two sheriff’s deputies to perform campaign duties while on the clock for the county. Held has denied the claim. Jury selection is set for December 3rd.
