Two Pittsburgh-area men were arrested for drug-related crimes after they were stopped along the PA Turnpike in Mt. Pleasant Township on Thursday.
State Troopers say that they pulled over Travis Lipscomb of Oakland and Anthony Harris of the Hill District for various equipment violations, including an illegal window tint. Troopers smelled burnt marijuana when they approached the vehicle, and when they searched it, they found an “aftermarket hidden compartment” in the trunk area that contained 15 heroin packages worth about $40,000, cash and ammunition.
The two are in county jail after failing to post $75,000 bail each.
