A Greensburg attorney is charged with stealing $50,000 from a Fayette County Masonic Lodge.
The Tribune-Review reports that 75 counts of forgery and four counts of theft by unlawful taking have been filed against Donald B. Moreman for taking the money from the Pleasant Valley Masonic Center in Bullskin. Court documents say that the president of the masonic center visited the Scottdale Bank and Trust office to review the account after there were some checks that showed up that did not have the three required signatures for their account. The money was taken out for purchases at Sam’s Club, Verizon, Comcast and Sears.
In addition, 75 checks had forged signatures.
Moreman was released on unsecured bond and his preliminary hearing is set for December 11th.
