Work is now underway to rebuild a public works garage in Unity Township that was destroyed by fire.
The Tribune-Review reports that the new structure, which will cost $2.4 million, will be built on the same site as the previous one, which was destroyed in 2017 by an arsonist. General contractor Walter Mucci Construction out of Perryopolis started their work last week. No word yet on when the work will be finished.
Unity Township Supervisors are still offering a $10,000 reward for any information leading to a conviction in the arson case.
