Saturday was the dedication and first open house for the new Latrobe Elementary School.
The Tribune-Review reports that many in attendance gave favorable opinions about the building, especially on the topics of the building itself and the technology that went into it.
The school houses 700 students in grades K-6 and was to have opened in August but construction setbacks pushed opening day back to December 4th. It replaces the former Latrobe Elementary School, five blocks away, that will now serve as the headquarters for Robindale Energy Services.
