
Ligonier Police arrested a Laughlintown man who tried to break into someone’s home. That someone, however, was a fellow police officer.
The Tribune-Review reports that 36-year-old Brad Steffey was found trying to break into the home of an off-duty officer around 3:45 AM on Saturday. The off-duty officer got into an altercation with Steffey and it resulted in the officer suffering unknown injuries.
Steffey was arrested a short distance away from his target house. He faces charges of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, attempted burglary, resisting arrest and public intoxication.
