A man from Derry Borough is facing assault-related charges for an incident that happened just hours after he was cited for public drunkenness.
The Tribune-Review reports that 28-year-old Joshua Conner was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment, making terroristic threats and four counts of child endangerment for an incident at 5:30 Saturday evening, when State Police were responding to a domestic incident in which a man was threatening a woman with a hammer. Police found several hammer-sized holes in the wall, and several abrasions on the woman.
Conner is now in Westmoreland County Prison after failing to post $10,000 bail.
