A former Greensburg policeman has announced he will run for Westmoreland County Sheriff.
The Tribune-Review reports that retired officer Eugene Zulisky retired in 2018 after working for the police department for 28 years as an officer. Zulisky will run on the Republican ballot. He was unsuccessful in a bid in seeking the vacant seat for District Judge James Albert. Albert has said he will run on the Democratic ticket.
It’s not known at this time if current two-term sheriff Jonathan Held will run for a third term.
