Two people charged with operating a meth lab out of someone else’s home have pleaded guilty to lesser charges.
KDKA-TV reports that Tia Klazon and Kiel Freeman, both from the Vandergrift area, were brought into a good Samaritan’s home in October, as the two claimed they were homeless. Two days later, the homeowner called police after seeing one of them take some chemicals into the attic area. Police said that they found products and byproducts of the operation in the attic.
The two pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of illegal depositing of chemical waste. They were sentenced to six-to-23 months in jail but could be released into a drug treatment program.
