A man who has served time in prison for repeatedly obstructing traffic on Westmoreland County roads by riding his bicycle is facing charges once again.
The Tribune-Review reports that 59-year-old David Smith of Hempfield is again charged by prosecutors with riding his bike on county roads in October, which is a violation of his probation conditions. Assistant District Attorney Anthony Iannamorelli said that this will not result in new charges, but it is a technical violation.
Back in 2012, Smith was sentenced to serve time in state prison for biking down the center of various roads in several communities, blocking traffic and causing a danger to himself and other motorists.
