As we start the first full week of the new year, gas prices continue to go down across the state.
The statewide average cost of a gallon of gas, according to GasBuddy.com is $2.45 a gallon. That’s down 2.1 cents from last week at this time.
Westmoreland County has an average gas price at $2.46 a gallon, so it is not far from the state average. Among the neighboring counties, Fayette County has the cheapest at $2.45 a gallon, while the most expensive average in the region in Washington County at $2.52 a gallon.
