A teen out of New Stanton could enter a plea of guilty but mentally ill for killing his mother and younger brother in November of 2016.
The Tribune-Review reports that 16-year-old Jacob Remaley is charged with the two shootings, and unsuccessfully sought to have the case transferred to juvenile court. Remaley’s attorney said he is seeking the plea so that he can serve part of his sentence in a mental health treatment facility.
A pre-trial conference for Remaley is set for April. No trial date has been set yet.
