The Greater Latrobe School District is considering putting a cap on property taxes for the next school year.
The Tribune-Review reports that cap would be at the state-mandated level of 2.36 additional mils, which at the most would bring in an estimated $802,400 in additional revenue.
The state-mandated cap is part of Act 1, where the board must either state they will either go by the cap or put together a proposed budget to work from in January.
District officials say that they will use the tax increase cap as a starting point for working on the budget.
