More details have been released concerning’s the fire that was intentionally set late Tuesday night in the Ligonier area.
The Tribune-Review reports that 54-year-old Brian McVicker was found with a lighter in his hand when authorities arrived after 11:30 to fight the fire at the home he rented behind the Washington Furnace Inn. Not only did he admit to lighting the fire, he also admitted to smoking methamphetamine before doing so.
The home was completely destroyed. McVicker is now in jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
