A Mount Pleasant Township man faces aggravated assault and terroristic threat charges after allegedly firing a pistol in the direction of State Troopers.
The incident occurred shortly after noon yesterday when troopers were called to Blacksmith Road for a report of a hit and run accident involving a blue pickup truck. They found the pickup in the driveway of a camper residence on Shady Lane. Police say it was then that Timoth Minerd came out of the camper and allegedly fired several shots from a pistol into the ground.
After a two-hour standoff Minerd was taken into custody.
