Westmoreland County Schools are forming a coalition to make sure that they are heard in Harrisburg.
The Tribune-Review reports that the group is being formed by the Westmoreland County Intermediate Unit, and will be made up of a school board member from each district, the superintendent from each district, along with a business manager and a director from each of the county’s career and technology centers. The group, known as a Committee on Legislative Action or COLA, has a goal of making their requests more noticeable in state government, believing in a “strength in numbers” approach.
The first meeting of the Committee will be in April.
