A building in Irwin that houses a pharmacy expected to close has attracted a few people interested in buying the property.
This is going on as a business organization is trying to get the pharmacy to remain open for the community. The Tribune-Review reports the building in question is the two-story brick structure that houses the Rite Aid in the 300 block of Main Street. Rite Aid is set to close in early February and will re-open to liquidate their inventory.
The Irwin Business and Professional Association has started a letter-writing campaign to Rite Aid, the building’s owner, to not close the store, saying that it’s important to residents of Irwin Manor who can just walk to the store to get their prescriptions.
