Officials with the Greensburg Community Development Corporation are trying to reach out to hoteliers to try to bring a hotel to 225 South Pennsylvania Avenue.
The Tribune-Review reports that the city is in talks with an unidentified developer interested in building a boutique hotel in the Southwestern PA region, preferring to renovate the location rather than tearing it down and building again. The city estimates that it would take $9 million to fund the hotel project.
The city says they also want the developer to demolish the GCDC-owned building next door to use as an entryway and valet service.
