Greensburg police have charged a Plum man for taking money for a painting project that never got underway.
Police say that 54-year-old Michael Cerniglia now faces charges of home improvement fraud for taking a $1,250 check from Michelle Moreno as a down payment for a painting job that was never started. Moreno has tried several times to get the check returned but to no avail over the last three months.
A preliminary hearing is set for March 7th.
