CNX Resources says they have contained that Utica Shale gas well that suffered a significant pressure drop last week.
The pressure drop apparently affected several other nearby conventional gas wells, forcing the company to flare off excess gas pressure in those wells. There was some concern about potential impact on the Beaver Run Reservoir. The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County says they have seen no problems, but on Monday ordered additional testing of the water in the reservoir to make sure.
Beaver Run supplies water to more than 130,000 customers in the county.
