If you are suffering from the flu, you’re not alone.
According to the state Department of Health’s latest flu watch report Westmoreland County has a total of 374 confirmed cases of the flu. The major of those cases are Type A flu.
Washington County reported 378 confirmed cases and there are 153 confirmed cases in Fayette County.
Unlike last year when the flu was heavily concentrated in southwestern Pennsylvania, so far this year the majority of confirmed cases have been in the Philadelphia area.
Again, these numbers are just lab-tested cases. The health department says the actual number of cases is considerably more because most people don’t go to the doctor to be treated for flu symptoms.
