The upcoming Shop N Save Westmoreland County Airshow will feature a first. Captain Zoe Kotnik, the first female commander and pilot of the US Air Force’s F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, will be a featured performer on May 25th and 26th.
Captain Kotnik leads the 17-member demonstration team. She oversees maintenance actions performed on three Lockheed Martin aircraft and she also showcases the F-16’s maneuverability.
This year’s show also will feature the Total Canadian Air Force Snowbirds and a demonstration of the Harrier, the jet aircraft that lands and takes off like a helicopter.
The airshow will be held at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport.
