A suspended Westmoreland County Sheriff’s captain was acquitted Monday in Court on charges of trespassing at the State Police barracks.
The Tribune-Review reports that Judge Richard McCormick, Jr. ruled there was not enough evidence to support a citation issued against Travis Day. Day was cited for driving into a restricted parking area around 2:00 AM on February 10th of last year.
Day has been off the job since August after he was discharged from a state training course at Penn State. Police in State College charged Day with harassment and stalking, with police saying he had improper contact with a female student while at the training course.
Day has denied the allegations.
