The Westmoreland County Treasurer has announced his intent to run for a third term.
The Tribune-Review reports that Treasurer Jared Squires made the formal announcement on Tuesday. He was first elected in 2011, and won re-election in 2015.
Not only is the office responsible for overseeing money collected and disbursed by the county, the office also sells dog licenses, and fishing and hunting permits, along with permits to operate small games of chance.
