The water problems continued yesterday for residents in the Charleroi, Monessen, North Charleroi and Speers area as a reported landslide caused two more waterline breaks.
The Tribune-Review reports that about 3,000 customers remain under a boil water advisory, meaning that before water from the tap can be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, cook or brush teeth, it has to be brought to a rolling boil for one minute and then let cool. Bottled water is another option, and water buffaloes are still available at the Speers borough building and at the Charleroi, North Charleroi and Monessen 1 fire departments.
Water testing is expected to continue today.
