Three dogs that were rescued last week were apparently abandoned.
The Tribune-Review reported that last week, a neighbor heard the dogs barking inside an abandoned home on Loyalhanna Avenue in Latrobe, and when police went to investigate, they found the house was empty, except for the dogs, and officers found dog waste throughout the house.
Police said that the dogs’ owners had five dogs initially, but they could only find new homes for two of the dogs.
The investigation is continuing and the owners could face criminal charges.
