Greensburg City Council has fired their longtime planning director.
The Tribune-Review reports that a special session was called on Monday to address the future of planning director Barbara Ciampini’s in the position, and in a unanimous vote, council voted to fire her. Mayor Robert Bell said that details could not be released at this time, saying it is a personnel matter, but further details may be available later.
Ciampini worked for the city of Greensburg for 35 years and she worked closely with the Greensburg Community Development Corporation, the historical and architectural review board and city council.
No word yet if city council has named a substitute.
