A North Huntingdon man charged with the car crash that killed a Norwin High School student pleaded guilty and was sentenced yesterday in Westmoreland County Court.
The Tribune-Review reports that 33-year-old Victor Playso, Jr. will serve 18 months of house arrest and five years on probation for the crash on Route 993 in 2017 that killed 18-year-old Logan Dyson. The car was speeding out of control and went down an embankment before landing on its roof. Dyson was a passenger in the car.
The probation and house arrest was applied by Judge Meghan Billik-Defazio, even though the Dyson family had requested prison time for Playso.
