Hempfield Township Supervisors last night called a halt to the creation of a proposed public safety commission.
This comes before bylaws and an ordinance could be drafted. The supervisors said they need more information on the logistics of the operation. The Tribune-Review reports that the commission’s goal would be to advise the township leaders by making recommendations regarding public safety and service levels.
Supervisors want to work on further details on the commission in March.
