A man from Herminie was arraigned on Tuesday on charges of assaulting an 8-month-old child that he was babysitting.
The Tribune-Review reports that 20-year-old Shane Morrison is facing charges of aggravated assault against someone under 13 years old, simple assault and reckless endangerment for an incident reported last November when the child was taken to an Urgent Care facility. The child was eventually taken to Children’s Hospital, where doctors there said the infant had a skull fracture and other injuries that pointed to abuse.
Morrison has denied causing the infant’s injuries.
