One person was killed this morning in a crash in South Huntingdon Township.
Westmoreland County Coroner Kenneth Bacha said in a news release that 25-year-old Sarah McDonald of Hempfield was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was 184 Highway Street. The vehicle McDonald was riding in did not negotiate a right curve in the road, hit a parked car, went up an embankment and hit multiple trees. McDonald, who was riding in the back seat, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology tests.
