A Jeannette man charged with abandoning children had drug charges held for court yesterday.
The Tribune-Review reports that 39-year-old Ryan Jay Mason pleaded not guilty in court to charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
Latrobe police say that Mason was arrested at a Latrobe home on prior charges. Mason and 36-year-old Destiny Stamps are also charged with child endangerment after they allegedly abandoned their three children for over a week in Greensburg to avoid being arrested on outstanding warrants.
The three children are now in the custody of the county children’s bureau.
