Police in Jeannette have charged a 27-year-old woman with assaulting her boyfriend and abusing her dog.
The Tribune-Review reports that Crystal A. Broker was arraigned Tuesday on charges of simple assault, harassment and two counts each of animal cruelty and making terroristic threats for an incident that happened on Monday. Broker was involved in an argument with her boyfriend when she picked up the couple’s puppy and stretched its front legs apart until it started to squeal. She later slammed the boyfriend’s hand in a door and sprayed Lysol in his eyes.
Broker is in Westmoreland County Jail on $5000 bail, with a preliminary hearing set for March 14th.
