This weekend is the weekend Daylight Saving Time begins, meaning that on Sunday, you need to put your clock forward one hour. But there are some state representatives that are trying to eliminate Daylight Saving Time.
Reports say that Russ Diamond, a state representative from Lebanon, has proposed a bill to remove Daylight Saving Time in Pennsylvania. Diamond said that the idea is an outdated one. It went into place during World War I as an energy saving measure, but Diamond said that Americans today use far more energy than we did 100 years ago. His bill has six co-sponsors, both Democrats and Republicans.
Diamond says that if Pennsylvania is able to eliminate Daylight Saving Time, other states will follow suit.
