A man from Hempfield is charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty after authorities seize two malnourished dogs off of his property.
The Tribune-Review reports that authorities received a complaint that 70-year-old James H. Jones had an emaciated dog on his property on Aleasha Lane. After he failed to get it checked by a vet under orders, officials returned to the property and noted the dog was in worse condition and a second dog was not doing so well. The first dog was eventually euthanized while the second dog was taken to a vet as it still suffered from various maladies.
Jones was released on bond.
